Planning for the future through the eyes of a local counselling charity

We Hear You (WHY) is a local charity that provides free, professional counselling and emotional support for anyone affected by cancer, or any life threatening condition across Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire. We support the individual diagnosed and everyone connected to them, including friends, family and colleagues and offer a specialist service for children as young as four. We receive no central government funding and rely on a combination of community fundraising, grants, trusts and corporate partnerships, so we were delighted to be chosen as Thatcher + Hallam’s charity partner earlier this year.

In September 2021, Thatcher + Hallam announced WHY as their Charity of the Year and wasted no time in their fundraising efforts, with several of the team taking part in a successful* world record attempt on 5^th September and others joining in with WHYwalk, a month-long walking challenge as part of WHY’s September Superstars campaign. Back on more familiar ground in October, Thatcher + Hallam have been running a Will Month promotion, which will result in a donation to WHY.

The importance of planning for the future
