02nd May 2023 The Sperring Charity: How Grants Benefit Local Clubs, Organisations and the People of Midsomer Norton.

The Sperring Charity was set up to benefit the local communities of Midsomer Norton and surrounding areas for grants to be released to any club, organisation, school, community group or individual based within 5 miles of St John the Baptist Church in Midsomer Norton.

In the past, the charity has donated grants from £50 to £5,000 for items as diverse as sports kit, new church rooms and school library equipment.

Thatcher + Hallam are, and have for many years, been appointed as administrators on behalf of the trustees for this fantastic community asset.

How to apply for funding from The Sperring Charity

Clerk to the Trustees of The Sperring Charity is Laura Ablett, who is a Partner in the Wills and Probate team, said, “The process for applying for a grant is simple. A form can be downloaded from The Sperring Charity website. Once completed, it is returned to the Charity, where the Board of Trustees will review applications at one of their quarterly meetings and decide which grants to make.”

The grant application form can be downloaded here.

Alternatively, contact Laura Ablett at the offices of Thatcher + Hallam LLP, Island House, Midsomer Norton BA3

Only one grant can be made by each applicant each year.
