Laura joined the team at Thatcher + Hallam in January 2014, having previously been a Senior Case Manager at a leading Trust Corporation, handling private client work and estate administration. She became a Partner at Thatcher + Hallam on 1st January 2016. Laura is a member of the Wills, Trusts, Tax + Probate team.
Laura enjoys this area of work because every person is different and needs to be treated uniquely.
Laura’s areas of expertise include:
- Estate administration – obtaining Grants of Probate / Letters of Administration and all associated matters with handling an estate
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Preparation of Wills
- Declarations of Trust
- Deputyship applications
- Advising on Capital Gains Tax
Laura is part of the senior marketing team at Thatcher + Hallam, providing leadership for all areas of marketing and communications.
Laura is a committee member and Secretary of the STEP Bristol branch.
Qualifications
Laura achieved a LLB (Hons) Law with German. She has since completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Writing, the Legal Practice Course and has become a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
