16th Feb 2022 Local Midsomer Norton charity ‘The Sperring Charity’ seeks applications for funding

The Sperring Charity was set up to benefit the local communities of Midsomer Norton and surrounding areas, by offering financial support to those in need.  The charity is currently calling for applications for its next round of funding, with a deadline of 22nd April.

Applications will be considered from any club, organisation, school, community group or individual based within 5 miles of St John the Baptist Church in Midsomer Norton. In the past, the charity has donated grants from £50 to £5,000 for items as diverse as sports kit, new church rooms and school library equipment.

How to apply for funding from The Sperring Charity

Clerk to the Trustees of The Sperring Charity is Michelle Deane, who works in our Wills + Probate team, said, “The process for applying for a grant is simple. A form can be downloaded from The Sperring Charity website. Once completed, it is returned to the Charity, where the Board of Trustees will review applications at one of their quarterly meetings and decide which grants to make.”

The grant application form can be downloaded here. Alternatively, contact Michelle at the offices of Thatcher + Hallam LLP, Island House, Midsomer Norton BA3 2HJ , telephone 07732 458316 or email mdeane@th-law.co.uk

Only one grant can be made by each applicant each year. Future deadlines for applications in 2022 are 19th August, 8th September and 24th November.
