Somerset Coalfield Life At Radstock Museum News
13th Oct 2021
We are delighted that our friends at the Somerset Coalfield Life at Radstock Museum have been able to reopen following the series of lockdowns over the last 18 months.
The museum and shop are now fully open, with just the tearoom remaining closed, possibly until 2022 when it is hoped there will be enough volunteers available to run it.
The museum opening hours are:
Monday – closed
Tuesday – 2-5pm
Wednesday – 2-5pm
Thursday – 2-5pm
Friday – 2-5pm
Saturday 11-5pm
Sunday 2-5pm
Admission to the museum is as follows:
Adult annual ticket: £6,
Concession annual ticket £5
(50p discount on these single adult tickets with a B&NES Discovery Card.)
Family annual ticket £13 (2 adults and up to 3 children)
Child annual ticket 6-15 years £2.50
Under 5s free
The museum asks that visitors continue to wear masks and use hand sanitiser when visiting.
Forthcoming events at the museum include a Children’s Trail, which takes place in October half term – visit the museum website or social media for more information about this.
We are also very pleased to hear that the museum has a new Chairman, Simon Carter, who has stepped into the role following the sad loss of Dr Nicolas Hall in June this year.
We wish the team at the museum the very best for the next few months.
