10th Jan 2023 Make a New Year’s resolution to sort your affairs: Wills, Power of Attorney, Tax, Trusts and Admin

Happy New Year! Have you made a New Year’s Resolution? As we welcome in the New Year, this often brings with it a time of reflection for the year that has passed and greater focus to plan ahead for the future.

In her latest blog Gemma Norris of our Wills, Probate & Tax Planning Team focuses on how the Team can help you plan ahead in 2023 and beyond.

Where there’s a WILL there’s a way: Make or review your Will.

Lots of life events can trigger the need to consider making or reviewing a Will, for example, marriage, buying a home, becoming a parent, inheritance.

Having a Will in place ensures your future wishes are carried out, providing peace of mind for you and security for your loved ones.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that our Will service is tailored to you. Meeting with you to guide you through the decisions process, in order to prepare and complete your Will.

Ensure you have the POWER:   Have you made a Lasting Power of Attorney?

Does a friend or loved one already assists you with your affairs?  Or perhaps you might find yourself requiring their assistance in the future?

Completing a Lasting Power of Attorney NOW, provides reassurance for the future.  Should a situation arise where you were no longer able to make decisions for yourself, you have legally appointed someone that you know and trust (your Attorney/s) to make those decisions for you.

We are happy to meet with you either here at our office, or at your home, guiding you through the options available in order to meet your personal circumstances.

When an individual is unable to make decisions for themselves and they have not made a Power of Attorney the process is called Deputyship.  We can also advise and assist with Deputyship applications.
