Local Charity Seeks Applications for Funds
06th Aug 2020The Ralph and Irma Sperring Trust has been in existence for many years and has been instrumental in helping individuals, societies, sports clubs, churches, schools and other organisations within the local community over this period. The Trust is once again looking for applications for financial help from within the community.
The Clerk to the Trustees is Michelle Deane who administers the Trust from the offices of local solicitors Thatcher + Hallam LLP, where Michelle also works as part of the Wills Probate + Tax Planning team.
‘There are quite specific conditions for applying,’ says Michelle. ‘The trustees have funds available to assist individuals, charities and organisations within the Trust’s ‘area of benefit’. This ‘area of benefit’ is limited to those parishes whose boundaries are within 5 miles of the church of St John the Baptist at Midsomer Norton.’
In past years the Ralph and Irma Sperring Trust has given funds to help buy sports equipment, build playgrounds, help with school trips, provide training courses, buy essential furniture and to help individuals with medical treatment and rehabilitation.
‘We warmly welcome new applications and for anyone wanting further information about the charity then they should take a look at the Trust’s website at www.thesperringcharity.co.uk,’ explains Michelle. ‘However, applications must be returned by 21st August 2020. Applications received after this date will not be considered until the next meeting of the trustees which takes place in November later this year.’
Application forms and further information can be obtained from The Clerk to the Trustees at the offices of Thatcher + Hallam LLP, Island House, Midsomer Norton BA3 2HJ or on 07732 458316 or via email at mdeane@th-law.co.uk
