Our free legal advice surgery is available from 5.00pm – 6.00pm every Thursday evening, at our Island House office in Midsomer Norton. 

Our free legal advice surgery gives people within the local communities of Midsomer Norton, Bath, Frome and surrounding villages the opportunity to access free no obligation legal advice on a range of matters in a 15 minute appointment slot.

What you can expect from your free legal advice appointment

When you enter our reception building one of our friendly reception team will greet you and provide you with a short form to complete and return to them so that they can then allocate you to the lawyer or solicitor you need.

A member of our legal teams will take you to one of our meeting rooms for your free 15 minute appointment to discuss:

• the issue you are facing;
• your rights and how you might go about resolving the issue without the need for legal representation where possible.

There are no catches or obligations to proceed your matter with us, and there are no hidden fees in relation to this service – it is completely free.

Do I need to book? 

No. Appointments are on a first come, first serve face to face basis. If you are not sure if we will be able to advise, you are welcome to contact us ahead of attending the free legal advice surgery to check.

• We are unable to advise on matters relating to criminal law. 

• Face masks are worn at attendee discretion. If you are immune-compromised please get in touch to discuss special arrangements.

If you do not wish for your details to be held by us then please tell us and we will be happy to comply with your request. However, due to SRA rules this means we would not then be able to advise you on your legal matter query. We may in the future use your details to contact you about our services.
