George leads the Wills Probate and Tax Planning Team, having worked in the law for over 15 years, and seeing a great many developments, particularly regarding the delivery of Wills and Probate legal services.
With many new entrants in a competitive legal market, George understands that Thatcher + Hallam must embrace change to meet client needs, whilst staying focused on traditional values.
George enjoys a growing reputation as a specialist in contentious estate work, when the contents of a Will or proposed distribution of a deceased’s Estate is challenged. Contentious work is seeing definite growth in recent times, with DIY Wills, and even DIY Estate Administration coming under more scrutiny as beneficiaries find that they may miss out on substantial monies.
Qualifications: Following completion of degree at Birmingham University in 1999, admitted as a solicitor in 2004, joined Thatcher + Hallam in 2010, becoming a partner in 2012. Qualified as a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2011.
